We are excited to offer a brand-new Child Care Center located inside the Morgan Tech Center, set to begin in August 2025!

Our recently hired full-time Child Care Center Facilitator, Joanne Carter, brings years of experience in early childhood education, including successfully operating a child care center within a high school setting. Her expertise and passion for children will create a nurturing, enriching environment for all of the little ones who experience our new program.

This center is designed to provide high-quality, convenient care for the children of our district’s valued employees.

As a token of our appreciation for your dedication to our schools and students, priority enrollment will be given to Morgan School District employees before registration opens to the broader community.

Our Purpose

1.

Extend a warm, secure setting where young children can play, explore, and build foundational skills in social, emotional, and cognitive development.

2.

Use age-appropriate, hands-on activities that foster creativity, curiosity, and a love of learning in early childhood.

3.

Offer high-quality, reliable child care that meets the needs of the our staff and community.

4.

Provide Morgan Tech students in the Child Development and Early Childhood Education pathway hands-on experience working with young children, helping them build practical skills for future careers in teaching and child care.

High School Student

Opportunities

At the Morgan Tech Center, the Tiny Trojans Early Childhood Program gives students an exciting, hands-on pathway into the world of early childhood education. Through participation in this dynamic program, students in Early Childhood Education 1, 2, and 3 gain real-world experience working with young children in a preschool and daycare setting. While learning under the guidance of FACS teacher Mrs. Heidi Miller and the Child Care Lab Facilitator Mrs. Joanne Carter, students observe childhood development in action and actively assist in classroom activities. They also create and lead engaging lessons in math, art, science, music, and language—carefully tailored to fit the weekly and monthly themes of the preschool. This program is the perfect starting point for students passionate about shaping young minds and exploring careers in childcare and education.

Interested high school students should visit with their high school counselor to add this amazing offering to their schedule.
