The Morgan Education Foundation is an independent, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is to unite the community in acquiring and directing resources to help bring about excellence in education for children enrolled with the Morgan County School District.

 

The Board is comprised of four trustees:

Advisory boards function is to provide counsel to the Board of Trustees and embody volunteers including business and community leaders, parents, and district administration.

            

 

Ways to Donate

 

The Foundation welcomes your donations to enhance the educational experience of our students.  The Foundation welcomes many forms of donations, including:

  • Cash
  • Life Insurance
  • Equipment
  • Securities
  • Real Estate or Other Personal Property
  • Deferred Gifts Through Estate Planning
  • Gifts Providing Life Income to the Donors

Cash Contributions for the Foundation are accepted at the Morgan School District office at 67 N. 200 E., Morgan, UT  84050.  You may specify which area of education, school, or program you would like to support.  In some cases, you may even support a specific grade or class.

Please consult a tax advisor to discuss potential tax benefits from your donation.

Other ways to donate include:

  • Ridley’s – You can use your Ridley’s points to donate.
  • Smith’s Fresh Values Inspiring Donations – Smith’s donates 0.5% of each eligible purchase.

Check the box on your Utah State Tax Return by designating the Morgan Education School Foundation.

Even small contributions add up to make a BIG difference!  Since its founding in 2007, the MEF has enriched educational experiences for students in numerous ways.  Some specific examples including funding to aid the following projects:  Critical technology infrastructure; STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) enhancement; Fine Arts/History Display; Physical Education and Scholarships. 

Community Nursing Services donates $962 to the Morgan Education Foundation from the Boo to the Flu program.

Thanks to the generosity of donors in the community and the scholarship board, every year eligible students of Morgan High School can apply for local scholarships.  Scholarships and their amounts are listed on the Morgan High School Counseling website.  Applications are available in April and scholarships are awarded in May.  105 seniors were awarded $138,000 in local scholarships for 2022.

STUDENTS:

Students may apply for local scholarships in April.  Specific instructions, criteria for eligibility, and applications will be available on the Morgan High School Counseling Center website and in the Counseling Center at MHS.  Applications will not be accepted after the established deadlines.

 

DONORS:

Donations for scholarships can be made by check, made out to the Morgan Education Foundation.  Please put Scholarship Board in the memo line.  Checks can be mailed to or dropped off at the Morgan School District Office, 67 N. 200 E., Morgan, UT  84050, OR you may donate through Paypal or Venmo.

If your donation exceeds $500, please contact the Counseling Center at 801-829-3418 to designate scholarship specifics.
